Orlando Bass Fishing Report for December

I fished with Sal Altavilla and his son Bennett on the private lakes for two days and the Conway Chain one day.
The weather was rainy the first day and overcast and cold the second. The third day we had clear blue skies and it was cold. We caught 20 fish the first day up to 6 1/2 lbs. The last day we caught the biggest fish which weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. Sal and Bennett had a great trip even with the not so good weather conditions. Bennet caught  the biggest fish of his life and he was thrilled. All fish were caught on livebait and everyone is  looking forward to coming back next year. “Make sure you bring the warm weather with you, not the New York weather!”

We have been catching numbers on livebait fishing Conway Chain & private lake in Orlando.  Central Florida bass fishing is the best, we have so many fishery to fish, and one is always producing numbers or trophy bass.  We fish year round, even when we aren’t haven’t normally warm Florida weather.

Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

The Magical Largmouth Bass Fishery of Orlando

Hello everybody, this is Captain Kip,

My customers today were Douglas & Colleen Milton, and we fished the private lakes (magical fishery in Orlando).

Orlando GuideThe Milton’s hauled in two beautiful 5 lbs. largemouth bass, total caught 16 on half day trip. We used golden shiners the entire morning and the couple really enjoyed themselves. All the fish were caught out of 18 to 23 feet of water. Water temperature is still colder than normal but with the sun shining the fish have started to bite again. Two more hot days and we should be back to normal temperatures in the water.

Florida Guide
I enjoyed fishing with the Milton’s, and hope to see them back soon.

Tight lines,

Captain Kip

Record Trip for Bass Fishing Orlando

Hello this is Captain Kip,
This was a trip for the record books, first day we fished in Lake Toho and the second day we fished the private lakes. George and Ken had one of the best fishing trips ever.
Orlando Guide
Today on Toho we caught at least 25 fish up to 91/2 lbs. We burned up 5 1/2 dozen golden shiners. The rain made us quit earlier otherwise we would still be there hauling them in. It had not rained for 37 straight days in our area, today when the front came in, it turned the fish on big time. Hope everybody enjoys looking at these pictures Nice fish!
Day 2  Today we fished the private lakes. The weather was cloudy and rainy all day. Fishing was incredible, we caught 25 fish up to 8 lbs. 10 fish being over 5 lbs. What a day! George and Ken, sorry about the rain, but we made it up catching big fish on both days.
Enjoyed fishing with you and next time come back with rain gear lol.

Hello everybody, this is Captain Kip,

I fished  for four hours with Mr. Nieminen  this morning. The weather on lake Toho was still cold, water temperatures had dropped quite a bit. We ended up catching 9 fish up to 4 1/2 lbs. We used golden shiners.
Due to the weather and water temperatures golden shiners have been the best way to catch big fish. Hopefully it will start to warm up fast. It was a good trip regardless of the weather.
My second trip***Brent & grandfather Mario

We went to the private lakes this afternoon. I fished with Mario Porscia and his
grandson Brent (above pic). Fishing was average, we boated 10 fish up to 4 lbs. The cold
front dropped water temperatures 12 degrees which made the fishing quite
tough. All the fish were caught on golden shiners. Mario and Brent enjoyed the afternoon fishing.

I took out Robert Neefe and his wife. We caught a bunch of fish this morning.  Robert caught the biggest bass in his life and he came to right place Lake Toho is place to catch a Lunker. It weighed 9Lb 2 oz. He’s been  fishing for many years and never caught a fish this big.  It came as a surprise that we caught such a Trophy, but I’m sure Robert did not mind Ha, ha! He was  thrilled and mentioned that such a large bass he has only seen in Bass Pro shops aquariums. Robert I’ve enjoyed fishing with you today and I’ll see you next time.

    Mission Accomplished – Lake Toho

    Lake Toho

    Lake Toho Summer Fishing

Onboard August 19, with local Gerald Maier’s a resident of Orlando.   The trip began by meeting Gerald his grandson Carson and longtime friend Jerry, at Big Toho Marina. We talked for a few minutes, loaded up and left the dock.  Gerald had really booked the trip for his grandson Carson and he really wanted to see his grandson catch a big monster bass. Carson Streich is 11yrs old from Brownstown, Minnesota; he is staying with his grandparents on his annual 2 week vacation. Carson has been fishing with his father off docks since he was about 3yrs old and has never landed a monster bass.  Feeling no pressure of what was expected of me on hot August day, we take off for boat ride. Our first stop we sat there about 5 minutes had 4 rods out with golden shiners and we missed a couple then Carson hooked up with about a 3 pounder. Gerald landed a small bass Jerry caught a gar.  Then Carson’s bait runner is sounded like a fire truck coming down the road, he hooks this fish I knew he had a giant on.  Carson worked it like a pro and end up catching this giant bass that weighed 8 pounds 3ozs, he was like a little kid in a candy store .That fish was 25 inches long, I can’t lie! I think we all were in the candy store. We took some pictures and let her go. It was a great job by Carson. I was very pleased with myself being summer time trophies are hard to come by.   Then it gets better the very next shiner Carson puts out not 2 minutes later lands another8 pound bass this fish was 24 inchs long.  At this part of day I’m just amazed and the Big Smile  Carlson has on his face was priceless.  His granddad was very proud & said Carson you can’t believe what you just did back to back 8 pounders, thank you! Capt. Kip thank you!  Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better it was awesome action & big fish trip.   Gerald, Jerry & Carson we caught another 10 bass by 8 am, left for lunch and went in to Big Toho Marina on Lake Toho. Had some cheeseburgers, ice cold drinks and back we go. It was really hot summer day & the fishing slowed down a bunch.  We decided to try one more area “The Honey Hole”.  We stop on a point of grass threw out and landed 5 or 6 more bass before running out of live bait.  We landed 16 or 17 bass up to 8 pounds, all on golden shiners and Carson had the 2 big fish.  As Gerald was leaving he looked at and said “Mission Accomplished” Capt. Kip.

We are looking forward to fishing with you in the future.

Till next time tight lines and good fishing….
